Match report for Claremount club on 25/11/2006

Hi all, nice to see a good turn out for the Graham Collins, the man deserves to be remembered.
A good many photographs were on show on the day showing Graham in his heyday. Great memories for some of us dinosaurs.
Also donated was a magnificent trophy for our grand final winner. Originally a memorial trophy for a lady called Brenda Nixon inaugurated in 1978 and won several times by Graham. The trophy will be engraved and held by the winner for one year.
This will be my last match report. I have been on the BDP committee now for several years and treasurer for the last couple. It can become quite time consuming and I wish to concentrate on my darts which have become somewhat erratic through lack of practise.
Your new treasurer will be young Paul Doherty, I,m quite sure your money will be in safe hands. While we are on that subject don,t forget prize money for the finals will be paid for by cheque and you will be required to sign for it. At least nobody will be able to blow it all at the casino. Get it straight to the bank if you require it for Christmas as it will take three working days to clear.

Onto the action – Youth/Ladies winner Sara Mortimer(again) £25 Blind pairs winners – Brendon (BJ) Marren/Paul Gallagher 21/16 darts over Paul (the ringer) Bellinger/Gary (the cougar) Thompson 19 darts £48/£24/£6x2.
Highest checkout by Richard Armatige 156 £21. Ticket holder Harry (the hitman) Firth £21.
